Ship acceleration/decceleration seems "slow"

Logging this as Round ID: 3347, but it *reportedly has been going on for "at least two weeks" but I cannot personally verify this. The best way to explain it is that, generally speaking, you could get a good clip going on your ship, for example on a kilo I could get to 30~ with combustion thrusters and ions and maybe a tile or two to speed up. Now, I and others struggle to fly at such speeds because it takes like, three tiles on a mudskipper to get up to 9gm/s. Fallcon suggested it was #4670 but it doesn't fit the part where it's been going for about 2 weeks (reportedly); so I'm left without a clue on what might have effected this. My best guesses are something related to the overmap/it's lag/it's tick rate, thruster code, helm console code, or something else. Overall, I don't know why this is happening, but it's quite annoying. I'm setting this up as a bug report because this is the best way to actually record info about it.

I was mistaken; the problem that I thought was going for 2 weeks was unrelated to ions and instead to combustions. What you originally thought was probably it
