i having same issue, on package version of github desktop on fedora, i can only login with flatpak version, and if i use firefox it giving error 'Can't understood link' and with Chromium it showing dialog if i wan't to open 'xdg-desktop' but nothing is happening when i press 'Open link'

@Dandraghas sadly that method doesn't work on me. I got the Unknown or unsupported transport “disabled” for address “disabled:” popup on my Antix linux. I know there's several workaround here and there, but none of them are easy to understand for me as a beginner : (
Login works if you use chrome, only doesn't work if you use firefox
almost all linux users use firefox
