能否结合redis的GEO使用？

Redis也提供了GEO服务： http://www.redis.cn/commands.html#geo

但是redis的geohash值算出来是11位的，而作者该方法算出来12位，是否可以做关联或者后续进一步完善？

如果没用php的geohash，那可以直接用redis的。如果用了的话，我想转换难度还是很大的。我是不打算换了
