Slides examples are insufficient

I tried out the slides, but all the texts are centered, and I hope some can be left aligned. As well as the footnotes, current dates, et al, I have no idea how to set them. I searched the whole docs but found nothing about it. Although we can accomplished it by css or inline decoration, but I don't think it's a formal solution.
