QLMarkdown.qlgenerator not rendering preview within workflow

Nothing indicated when trying to debug, but for some reason, the alfred-help.mdoutput will not render using qlmanage -p, instead showing only the default for objects that are not directly supported:

However, when locating the alfred-help.md and invoking QL through Finder, the markdown is rendered using the Marked 2 plugin I have installed.

What am I missing here?
