Agree with @parasharrajat - just the background should have the slight transparency, not the icon and text.

Yeah, I don't think we can do much about that. Ideally the opacity/BG overlay would stretch over the status bar area but I don't think it's possible.

To clarify, would we get rid of the full page loading spinner in lieu of just showing skeleton UI components?

Yeah, I think if we are loading a chat over in the main chat view, we should show the skeleton there too.

Hmm I guess that would make sense from a consistency stand point. What do you think?

Are we planning to wait until the color changes are finished before merging this? Otherwise I would say this could be merged first since all it does is change shapes...
