Feature request - Adjustable persistence in XY mode oscilloscope/intensity axis.

While messing with the XY oscilloscope mode, the persistence is really long and the background becomes gray quickly. Could a feature be added so that the persistence is adjustable by a slider? Could even a Z axis intensity be added, similar to some analog oscilloscopes? Thank you very much!
