Gameview: List - Menu icon is very hard to see
In the list view, the menu button is a little cog icon in the top-right corner of the game thumbnails. As you can see in the screenshot, it is very hard to see when inactive (not hovering over it). I searched for it yesterday and didn't see it at all, thinking that there isn't even any menu button in list view.
I'm aware that this might be partly caused by my GTK theme.
However, the themes are designed with the expectation that the symbols are used with the default window background colors. Most game thumbnails are much darker than that. Any 'light' theme will likely use icons in a 'darker' color and have similar issues.
I'm not too familiar with glade/gtk. Maybe there's an easy way to just add a thin outline in the inverse of the regular font foreground color.
Alternative solutions i can think of:
- change the button's background to ~50% transparency to have it always visible.
- change the menu button to be the same as for the grid view - as a little dropdown arrow placed on the primary button
Both of these solutions sound fine to me to be honest. I do agree that it is a bit better on the grid view. I guess when it was changed, we forgot about the list view.
I think i personally would prefer the drop-down option because it makes the ui look more uniform in both grid and list. Users switching between styles can quickly and easily recognize familar buttons and functions that way.
