Install from local network mirror

GOGrepo lets you download your GOG library to a local drive.

In my case that's shared on my network. It would be amazing to be able to use MiniGalaxy as a front end to that.

It could work like the following:

At MiniGalaxy start provide an option to choose a local network mode and fill in a path to the gogrepo share. Then manage/install games like we do now in MiniGalaxy.

Thanks for all your amazing work!

Thanks for the request, new ideas are appreciated. I have my doubts on if this one would be used by a lot of people, though. I'll keep this one open. If anyone feels this is something that is lacking, please comment or upvote it.

I see GOGrepo is not a web server, thus no anonymous or authenticated HTTP/S access. You say network share. How can that be standardized? Does that mean Samba? SCP? Is the share already locally mounted and authenticated, so access it using standard filesystem tools?

I like the idea, but think the scope has to be defined... and may end up being niche.

What you may want to do instead is mount the installer directory of each of your minigalaxy LAN clients to a common network share.
