Scrapmagnet Pauses for some reason

I'm having the problem where playback stops int he middle of a movie with the message "Connection to Plex Media Server is unavailable". Looking at the plugin log:

The REMOVED line is 20s after the PAUSED, which is the default remove timeout, so that's expected. What's not expected is the PAUSED. The only thing I can think of ATM is that I usually pause playback briefly at the beginning of a movie to allow time to buffer. Is it possible that somehow scrapmagnet is getting paused an hour later because of that?
