macOS homebrew formula for `fd`: slow install, excess dependencies. Binary distribution?
Checks
- [X] I have read the troubleshooting section and still think this is a bug.
Describe the bug you encountered:
Perhaps I should open a new issue, or support zfwf's https://github.com/sharkdp/fd/issues/26#issuecomment-408668494 of a binary distribution. It is a fair bit heavier that I'd like for installing fd, to need llvm, I suppose depended on by rust, and also and especially ca-certificates, openssl, and libssh2. mpdecimal seems likely unnecessary too, but not to my knowledge large files, taking a long time to build, overall a slow chain of dependencies to build--where the rust brew-installation and its antecedents are.
.
It it fair, correct to assume that all of these I've listed are indirect dependencies of fd through rust?

Describe what you expected to happen:

What version of fd are you using?
don't know, waiting waiting waiting for an install
Which operating system / distribution are you on?
macOS Sierra
https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/fd seems to indicate that binary packages are available. Do you know why they're not working for you?
@tavianator HomeBrew has binary packages available but not for @mcint's version of macOS. I believe that Sierra is considered EOL.
