Where have all of those OpenGEM apps from past releases gone?

OpenGEM4 and OpenGEM5-complete tarballs are twice the size of recent tarballs and they have INSTALL.BAT script on top-level directory, not hidden somewhere below GEMAPPS. Are there any chances to have old apps back?
