I have the same error when i run update shortcut

I encountered the same problem and it has been solved. If you have installed java extension pack, then the problem may lie here. Recalling the various warnings when installing the java extension package, I personally think that the java extension of vscode is still not stable. If you are willing to uninstall java related extensions, this problem will no longer exist.

In my case, I use the ctrl+shift+p and then find the sync:update/upload settings, after all that , this error is fixed. I think shouldn't use the keyboard shortcuts,
