Hey, this has nothing to do with the download location, its youtube blocking you from downloading videos temporarily, which explains why it works after you wait a couple of seconds.
Like you said, age restricted, deleted or private videos cannot be downloaded. The "Please sign in" issue should be solved with the latest update
