Support a-fold and b-fold for foamboard builds.

Open steelman opened this issue 3 months ago • 3 comments

Describe the feature

Support bends with some material removed from the inside of the bend.

Additional context

This type of bend is useful when working with paper covered foam (a.k.a foamboard). You can remove the paper and some foam and, keep the paper cover on the other side and fold the foam to close the cavity with some glue.

Watch the FT Mini Power Pod build video by the FliteTest team to see an example of an a-fold. The b-fold would be when the folded walls would add to the width of the pod (they would be beside the pod's floor)

Would you like to work on this issue?

None

I am familiar with FT Mini Power Pod - as I built several. However this is completely out of SheetMetal scope - sheetmetal is only for constant thickness of material.

sheetmetal is only for constant thickness of material.

OK.

(-: Do you have any recommendation for digital modelling of foamboard models?
