Clean install throws nil object

When enabling logstasher the following errors lines appear (both in the 'normal' log file and in the logstash log file): 2016-01-28 05:03:27 ERROR: Could not log "start_processing.action_controller" event. NoMethodError: You have a nil object when you didn't expect it!
