Lag experienced when typing

Hi @shabegom! Love this plugin, it adds such a key functionality. Unfortunately though I experience similar issues as in #35. Both on mobile and desktop, Obsidian lags and stutters every few seconds with the plugin enabled.

I know! I'm completely rewriting the indexer (and most of the plugin) to greatly reduce the performance hit. I'm close to releasing a new version, so hopefully that resolves the lag issue.

I think this problem still persist on 0.4.0. Obisidan take a while to show the text when i type. The problem went away after I toggle off the plugin.

In 0.4.1 I've added toggles to turn off indexing after certain events. My suggestion is to toggle off indexing except for when a file is opened and see if that fixes the problem. Note that you will have to change files in order for new references to appear, but hopefully it will fix your lag.

However, the bug still there. I tried to toggle off all three options (index when file open, file editted and Layout Changed). The typing lag still happen.

I also tried turn off all my plugins and just leave this reference count plugin on (with all 3 options toggled on). And the typing lag also happen.

edit: For my case, this lag only happen in big file with many links. For small file with few internal links, then there is no/minimal lag.

Did you reload the vault after changing the settings? That's really weird.

Yes, it happen even after I restart Obisidian
