Auto Update Still Not Working

Open swilkins1337 opened this issue 6 months ago • 4 comments

For the past few versions, I've had to manually download the update, as otherwise it just enters a loop where it will tell me it updated, then asks me to restart, then after restarting it does the same thing again. Manually updating fixes the issue.

I'm using Windows 11 with version 1.45.5 of HDT. If there's a log the will help resolve the error, I'll gladly provide it.

You replace the DLL in the plugins folder with the updated version. When you download the release it also gives you a pdb file. I believe that is for debugging and not actually necessary, but I still put it in the folder with the DLL. There's a button under plugins under options in HDT to open the folder. The folder is under AppData. It won't replace your data, which is under another folder.
