Confirmed that the problem still occurs with Apache Arrow v8.0. We'll need to look into this and see what's happening here.
@mdiskin it won't unfortunately. The issue really requires all developers to plan to migrate to modules, otherwise, so long as any project (whether that's Arrow, Snowflake-JDBC, or Netty) uses reflection...
