Application for Quantum Teleportation
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Not the research problems themselves, but I think using quantum teleportation is useful for protocol evaluation. I am planning to use the throughput of each multiplexing protocol by measuring the number of qubits teleported between the two end nodes per second, because it was already used in the previous work about multiplexing.
Describe the solution you'd like
I think additional rules need to be implemented, such as
- measure entangle qubits on the control side if to-be-measured qubits exist
- send classical messages if classical network path exists
- apply quantum operation based on the given measurement results
Additional context
It is also worth mentioning that quantum teleportation is essential for some applications for quantum networking. It is true that QuISP primarily focuses on simulating quantum network, but there is a possibility that some users would like to simulate distributed quantum computing, which in some cases requires remote CNOTs, where several rounds of quantum teleportation involved.
If you treat quantum teleportation as an application, it might be out of the focus of RuleSet (If you mean "rule" by the rule in the RuleSet).
Instead, you can improve the Application class to support that with entanglement delivered by underneath RuleSet execution.
All right. I guess I should create another module based on the application module
