Mapping mouse & apply , but nothing happens on CachyOS

Hello everyone. I need the remap my aerox 9 mouse buttons. I mapped my mouse buttons and applied but assignments doesnt work and nothing happens on CahyOS. Can anyone have a solution for this issue? Please help me

Allot more information is going to be needed to properly help you. My first thoughts are:

1. Does the wireless dongle not pass on the mapping?
2. Are you trying to map the dongle and not the mouse itself?
3. Does it map fine if you connect the mouse with a cord?
4. Does Input-Remapper work ok for other devices on the same computer?
5. Are you running the program as root when it starts?
6. Do the buttons act as they normally would WITHOUT trying to map them?

I had that problem with wireless mouse and discovered I was activating my DONGLE and not the mouse. This is all assuming you are remapping properly. If you are trying things like making a button an axis or such then try mapping one of the side buttons to something simple like the "A" key, and another of the side buttons to "B", just to see if it works.
