multiple devices - same remapping

I have two logitech M570 trackballs connected and trying to remap btn_extra and btn_side to XF86AudioRaseVolume and XF86AudioLowerVolume respectively. I can only get one trackball to remap those buttons - not both. I believe it may be related to "origin_hash" in the config file.

This did work with version 1.5 but when I updated from ubuntu 23.04 to 23.10 it installed 2.0 and it no longer works for both trackballs. There is no "origin_hash" in the previous version.

Any suggestions what I could try to get this working?

I was able to get this working by using two usb receivers and pairing one trackball to each. Now both devices show up in input-remapper as M570 and M570 2
