I have the same issue, Installed on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS On v. 2.0.0 I can see and select my keyboard in devices list. Yet mapping area grayed out, and does not detect keystrokes from the keyboard. Then I have tried to copy my old (v.1.5) preset files manually into the new ./config/input-remapper2/presets folder. Depite showing the file name, could not detect the mapped buttons. Returned back to v. 1.5.1 with deb package installation, everything works well, recognizes old mappings, lets me create new presets etc. yet I can't migrate to the v2.

Presets have to be migrated to be compatible to v2

In Input Remapper.odt, I can't recognize attempts to map keys.

Are you sure you used the add and record buttons?

Output fields are all greyed out.

possibly because no input has been configured
