Does not see Logitec MX Ergo mouse via Bluetooth on VM

I'm using Ubuntu 22 via a VMWare virtual machine from Win10 host. The mouse (Logi MX Ergo) is connected to host via BT. The InputRemapper sees a couple of mice as "USB mouse". But when trying to create a mapping in all of them, pressing a key on the mouse using the Record, produces no event.

The mouse works in Linux otherwise and even the middle button, which was set up in Windows as "close window" works the same in Linux. But no other buttons (like front/back) work.
