Are there any plans to make the app compatible with other h-sites? Or is it dead now?
I love the app, and I think it would be a shame if it just died. Can it be repurposed for use with other sites like nHentai?
I'm hoping he recodes the app to be able to view archives downloaded from EH, so that it can be an offline reader as well, since EH still exists but without the cursed tags.

True, already switched to it, but personally I prefer EhViewer's design, and Tachiyomi really is made more for regular manga. When you tap on a doujin in EhViewer for example, you immediately open the doujin. In Tachiyomi you first get the chapter list, which is inefficient and pointless for doujin.
Since e-hentai is still there, EhViewer is not dead, but dying.
EhViewer is e-hentai viewer. It's confusing if EhViewer supports other sites. I prefer developing a new app with another name, instead of changing the behavior of EhViewer.
