Thanks, @farahats9. I'm using Postgres 16.1 as the DB with RabbitMQ 3.12.2 as the broker. I also tried using an in-memory DB and it fails in there, too. Not sure...

That's great to hear! Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to test this out yet but I'll do it first thing on Monday and report back.

Disabling the setting does work and produce the expected behavior described in the initial issue. This is interesting, because that means we'll continue to have branches that are not deleted...
