Any plans for Linux port?

Are there any plans to release a linux version? It seems that a few people already tried but not with much luck :( And there is no solution as elegant as this in the linux ecosystem ;)

I have a more-or-less-working Linux version (with the exception of some of the copy/paste functionality, which requires a bit more GTK+ binding work to implement) here:
