Dummy app does not work

After cloning this repo, and running

npm install && bower install
ember s

I see the following console error when loading the contact route:

component.js:123 Uncaught TypeError: register is not a function

We've spent no time on that since the very first release sprint, and the apis have shifted since then. It could use a champion, and I'd be willing to invite a new collaborator onto this project as both Seth and I are not actively using it at the moment (not for lack of desire, we're just on very different ends of the product spectrum at the moment).

We ended up using ember-cp-validations, so I'm not actively using this either.
