Thanks for reporting @d-blackburn. Were you able to Auth with the PAT option?

I was able to recreate this on my Windows VM.  Interestingly, it works on macOS... Thinking out loud, this particular GitHub authentication method...

Closing this issue for now - we have others that capture the need for a rewrite of the GitHub Authentication module
