Hi, @pmuens et al.,

First off, thank you for all of the work you've done here. Having helped maintain some popular open-source libraries, I can sympathize with the amount of time and work it takes.

While I don't use GCF very actively, their team seems to be pushing a bunch to try and catch up to the other platforms and, seeing as this is the defacto GCF plugin, I want to make sure that it follows along.

I'm happy to help out in any way that I can, and I'm sure others are as well.

If you're interested in pulling others on to help maintain things, I'm already a part of the Serverless org but I don't have access to this particular repo.
