Attaching incoming request IP to events/ invokes

we would hopefully like to use event gateway as a way to access all of the backend interactions a user (who might be anonymous) might perform, and right now we are getting the ip address through the event from API Gateway (which works fine). But we would love to be able to switch over to event gateway, and was just wondering if we could have the same sort of convenience as API Gateway in accessing ip address of request
