Apologies for the inconvenience caused by the Google Trends performance degradation over the past week. We have been monitoring Google Trends closely and observed that performance consistently starts degrading around 07:00 UTC and continues until approximately 20:00 UTC. During this period, we manually tested various queries directly in Google Trends and saw a significantly higher error rate than usual. On the other hand, we also tested different sets of proxies and various settings, but didn't see improvement. Based on this, we concluded that the issue has more to do with the endpoint we are using, which is supported by the unusual number of errors coming from Google itself.
In parallel, we have been testing alternative approaches, and the good news is that we’ve identified a probable solution. Implementing it will require a revamp of the current solution, thus we need more time to harden the prototype into a production-ready system and validate it through thorough testing. During this period, similar disruption should be expected. Where possible, we recommend scheduling requests outside of the degradation window to minimize impact. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to deliver the solution. We’ll share updates here as soon as we have more to report.
