[Google Shopping API] Support higher quality images
One of our customers reported that with the new layout, the quality of thumbnails is much lower than previously. We're extracting the best Google has to offer, but I discussed this with @tanys123 and we might investigate if there is a way to improve the quality.
The customer also noted that results from US searches (also new layout but introduced earlier) include higher quality images than from markets that recently got the new layout update.

US does have higher resolution images, however, we are already getting the same section of images for US and other countries.
There are slightly better version of the image, but that would require extra request on each product.
Any update here? I am seeing high quality images in Google Shopping for countries like India and Switzerland, whilst when scraped the quality is very bad
