[Google Lens API] Allow search with text
Several users, including a customer, requested support text alongside an image search on Google Lens. This is possible on the Google Mobile App.
[Update] A user mentioned it's now available for Desktop as well.
So awesome thanks for adding this request
Will you also add support for pulling fullres images instead of the thumbnail quality images that are currently returned?
Hi @Techsetter , we can support full-resolution images when this data is available on the Google Lens (or other engines) side. Unfortunately, if they don't provide this data on the search result, we won't be able to do it. Please let us know if you can see this data in the search results.

Hi @HG2407, we don't have any ETA, but we have a PR already that addresses this issue. Once the review is done, we'll deploy it to production.
Thank you for your patience.
Thanks for your patience! We have deployed an update that enable search with text on Google Lens. We have also made the API easier to navigate, you can now use type parameter to request for Products, Visual Matches and Exact Matches -- page_token parameter is deprecated. Checkout the documentation for more info.
Thank you very much, @tanys123, for working on this.
@Techsetter @HG2407 @florence555 @arichayo for visibility. Please let us know if you have any feedback on this new feature.
