Ad-free stream download for subscribers/Twitch Turbo users

Open talkahe opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

I'm wondering if there's a way to download streams without ads for users with subscriptions or Twitch Turbo.

It's kind of a bummer to download a stream and still have to sit through ads, especially when I'm already supporting the channel. So, is there a way to make this happen?

Thank you.

I don't see any ads in my tests. Do you mean embedded ads in the stream? Or do you mean the ones that cut your transmission for about 30 seconds?

I meant the 30-second ad breaks that interrupt the stream. Even though I don't see the actual ad, the stream gets cut off for that duration showing a Twitch animation.

Got It. Does It happen in videos/clips or live streams? Do you have any example?

Thanks

I have only tested it with live streams. Here is an example:

✔ Enter the Twitch URL (stream, vod, clip, highlight), or enter a .txt file with a list of URLs (new line separated) … https://www.twitch.tv/rivers_gg ✔ Enter the path to download the video rivers_gg (absolute or relative) Ex: /Videos/myDownload.mp4 … rivers_gg.mp4 ✔ Select the export quality › Original Downloading live stream until it ends...

I just checked it again and when the ad starts the video counter goes to 00:00 and when it finishes it continues where it was going. Do you need the downloaded video?
