Cannot dump new UV-5R

Open cspencer49519 opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Picked up one of these cheap radios, trying to dump with this utility but I get this error:

graffix@Craigs-MacBook-Pro-2018 baoclone % sudo baoclone /dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART Connect to /dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART. Detected Baofeng UV-5R. Read device: No acknowledge after block 0x0000.

Everything works fine through chirp. MacOS Catalina, homeade cp2102 cable.

Hello! Did you manage to fix this error? I bought a radio and tried to read the image. i got exactly the same error. Although chirp reads well.

I believe I fixed the issue with latest UV-5R firmware, including F8HP. Also newer BF-888S model is now properly recognized.
