I think it's obvious the author has abandoned the project? You can take it and publish future updates if you want :)

Still freezes, it's really annoying and affects work. It freezes even without sound enabled.
Shinken 2.4.3, completely ignores log_level=WARNING set up and uses INFO instead.
Very nice job, it would be cool to have it available - maybe it's a good time for a new release?
