Feature request - realign tables

org-mode has great support for automatically realigning tables - it'd be super if adoc-mode had it too.

Basically, if the table handling was exactly like org-mode that would be great!

Yes, that would be truly great. But before that, I would like to have promoting / denoting of list elements, see branch pro-de-note-lists. However for the time being I am occupied with other things.

org-mode includes the minor mode orgtbl-mode that can cope with arbitrary syntax tables according to its own advertisement, see section 3.4 of the org-mode manual. I have not tried it yet, but it may be possible to simply supply the conversion function for orgtbl-mode as part of adoc-mode, and then direct the user at using the minor mode orgtbl-mode. That way you don’t have to reimplement all the nice aligning functionality of org’s table handling.
