Request for ARM64-Compatible LibSenselDecompress for Raspberry Pi (Research Use)

Open ZihangAo98 opened this issue 6 months ago • 0 comments

Background I’m a researcher. We’re currently conducting a research project that involves real-time tactile sensing using the Sensel Morph on a Raspberry Pi 5 running Ubuntu 22.04 (ARM64 architecture).

Problem We successfully compiled the core LibSensel on ARM64 and were able to run contact-based examples. However, LibSenselDecompress is not available in source form and the prebuilt .so files in the .deb packages are either for amd64 or armhf, which are incompatible with our system.

Request Could Sensel kindly provide:

  • Either a precompiled libsenseldecompress.so for ARM64,
  • Or the source code of LibSenselDecompress (for academic, non-commercial use),

This would allow us to access the full capabilities of the device, especially the force frame data, which is essential for our project.

Use Case We are working on multimodal human-computer interaction and tactile feedback sensing, and the Sensel Morph fits our hardware requirements perfectly.

Thank you in advance for your support.
