AAC file type ?

I would like to know why there is no .aac file type ?

I don't have a good reason for it, I think it's probably because it's not listed on https://github.com/sindresorhus/file-type

I could be wrong, but based on this post https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18421736/how-to-recognize-the-audio-stream-format/18421822#18421822 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Audio_Coding shouldn't AAC would have one of these extensions: .m4a, .mp4, .3gp, .m4a, .m4b, .m4p, .m4r, .m4v ?
