Blank screen when using index-debug.html version

I downloaded the SDK and placed it into the correct folder as per the instructions. When the app loads, all I get is a blank screen. There are no errors in the console window either to indicate anything went wrong.

Any ideas why this isn't working?

I can see all the source loaded into app through Chrome developer window. I can manually instantiate the main view and then add to the view port but the windows stays blank.
