conflicts with `trigger*` variables

The capabilities library in the real-names branch names its variables patt to avoid conflicting with the pattern variable in trigger*.

Probably need to review handling of LEXICAL-PLACEHOLDERS and SUSPENDED-VARIABLES to fix this.
