Add text more inclusive for Bioconductor
Several packages on Bioconductor are useful beyond genomics. Currently the text indicates that the packages would not be useful to those outside genomics. Added text to indicate greater use for some packages as the current text rather limits the scope which may mislead some readers.
Thanks Megan,
I must admit I'm a little confused by this one. The Bioconductor website itself says that it's a project that "provides tools for the analysis and comprehension of high-throughput genomic data".
Are you able to provide any more context around why the current text is misleading?
Thanks, Mark
@sellorm Feel free to ignore my edit if you prefer. It is honestly a minor comment. While Bioconductor is self described as for genomics, several of the packages are also useful for other fields. For example, the rhdf5 package. For a good explanation of the overlap of CRAN & Bioconductor packages dealing with these file types that are widely used outside of genomics, see the table and short description here: https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/h5/vignettes/h5-Intro.html
