Potential link highlighting bug

I upgraded to ST3 and my MarkdownLight link highlighting turned a little funky. It occasionally seems to miss links and not highlight them depending on the context. Here is a quick gif to highlight the issue:

I'm not 100% sure what is causing it, but here is what I have tried:

  1. A few different versions of ST - I tried Build 3142 (last dev build before ST3 official) and 3143 - both have the issue present. I don't recall what version I had before where this issue wasn't present.

  2. I tried removing markdown light and reinstalling it along with quitting sublime, and restarting it.

I am on Mac OS if that helps, and happy to share any other info.

PS - Love the plugin and if I can help with this let me know. I'm just not sure where to even start with debugging the root cause of the issue.
