Alarm clock function: Stop the radio stream, not just pause it (Android 14)

Open anna6 opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Steps:

  1. Set time for alarm clock for radio station in RadioDroid app.
  2. Set alarm duration (max. 60 minutes).
  3. Wait for the set time.

Current behavior: You can pause the radio stream in the app (GUI), on the lock screen and in quick access (swipe from the top of the screen).

Expected behavior: In the app (GUI), on the lock screen and quick access, be able to stop the radio stream. [Under Android 7, I could only pause the radio stream in the app but also stop it in the quick access and on the lock screen].

Apps; Android 14 (GrapheneOS) RadioDroid 0.86

Background: I use RadioDroid as a clock radio. When I pause the current stream, the alarm clock timer continues to run. Under Android 7 I could stop the alarm timer by stopping the stream. Now the stream (alarm clock) always stops after the set alarm duration, even if I am already awake and would like to continue listening.

Dear Anna! I see you have android 14. Can you record with radio droid?

Hello Gyoszor! I've never recorded before and can't find a record button. Where should it be? I only see Play and Pause.

Edit: I didn't want to close as completed, whatever that means.

If you tap on the actual played radio station's name (down), an another menu appears. You can see here the record button, previous track, play/pause, next track and the star button.

I've never actually tried that before. The pull-down menu says

play in external player to the website Share alert Add to home screen Delete

Recording, play/pause etc. is not offered.
