Selecting "associate asset from other projects?" does not work as expected
Describe the bug In SEEK, when associating items, the option to "associate asset from other projects?" is presented. However, some assets and ISA elements from other projects are always shown in the dropdown menu, even if the option is not selected (Publication to Investigation, SOP to Assay).
Nevertheless, selecting the option "associate asset from other projects?" does seem to affect the list in the dropdown menu in some cases: Documents to Assay, Workflow to Document.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to a ISA element or Asset you manage
- Click on Action --> Edit
- Scroll down to Publication, SOP, Document, Workflow etc
- See error: check list of items in the dropdown menu, before and after selecting "associate asset from other projects?"
Expected behavior When "associate asset from other projects?" is NOT selected, only assets from the project the item you are editing is from are shown; When "associate asset from other projects?" IS selected, all assets (you have managing rights to?) are shown, possibly grouped by project name.

Additional context
Related issue that could be addressed: SOP preview is still shown even if no SOP are selected.
If no SOP is selected, SOP preview should not be shown.
Not sure this is a bug, but unexpected behavior maybe.
When the checkbox is unchecked it shows assets from all projects you are a member of, regardless of the ownership of the asset being managed.
When the checkbox is checked, it shows all assets from all projects, but not grouped in any way.
oh, I see now. It is indeed unexpected behaviour then.
We have to make clear what is shown by default and what is meant with "other projects" here.
