Extraterm does not launch on Windows Server 2016

I tried installing Extraterm version v0.62.0 on Windows Server 2016 but nothing happens when I launch it - the process "extratermqt.exe" is visible in Task Manager (but there's no GUI) and it automatically closes after 5 seconds. I cannot see log files being generated either.

I've seen something like this too happen. It needs more investigation on my side.

What you can try in the meantime is deleting extratermqt folder from APPDATA. i.e. for me that's C:\Users\s.edwards\AppData\Roaming\extratermqt\

Thanks, I tried that but it didn't make any difference. Is there a debug build available, which generates some verbose logs?

Edit: I found the log in the AppData folder, no errors - just stops after the line "Starting extension 'terminal-title' and thats it.

I got the same result on windows 10 and windows 7; I tried both extratermqt v0.65 and v0.61
