Can you confirm that your instructions for Auto-Configuring A Virtual Machine With Chef are still accurate?

I tried them just now, and my VM keeps getting stuck on the "The extension files are uploading..." step after I hit the create button. I am trying them with an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS VM rather than a windows VM, but everything else is basically the same.
