Password protection for online repositories
This is not an issue but rather a feature request. Would it be possible to implement some kind of password protection for online repositories? Either by giving the possibility to password lock the whole part of the website and giving modman the possibility to password access the site, or by allowing password protected zipps where the user needs to enter the password while activating a downloaded package for the first time?
I have no idea if such a feature is possible or if it would be to much effort, but our group woudl definitely appreciate this feature for some smaller private mods within our community.

Sorry for late response.
Supporting zip protected by password is not an option. Using HTTP authentication can be implemented, but I don't really see the point now.
If you want a kind of VIP repository, it is way simpler to create a secondary repository that you give only to your VIP members. You can create multiple repositories (xml files), with their packages list, hosted on the same sever.
my request was not about having two repositories, but the thing preventing us from hosting our mods publicly is, that if we make an online repository if somebody finds the link to it by accident, they can download the mods without our permission. It is not about making some mods only available to some members, for that we could as you suggested just use multiple repositories.
But no problem if it is not something you would consider implementing in the meantime we just let the people download the mods from a private google drive and make manual packages
+1 to get authentication by https. Being able to provide URL + log /pswd to other will secure content creators and push everyone using omm
