What might be the best background colour for (transparent) images, here examples with a transparent image in the Info box:

light

dark

This is a tricky one because there is no easy solution, you cannot just flip the image's colors otherwise it may make it have an unintended look. A white background would also look out of place. :shrug:

I vote for adding a default white background behind transparent images, the creators must have used a light background when they created them.
